Tips To Getting On Page One Of Google

For the past few months I have studied the art and skill of being a webmaster. Terms such as page rank, keyword density, and search engine optimization are a second language to me now, and I have been pretty successful at getting most of my blogs and websites on the first page of Google utilizing specific topical information. However, this has not been a very easy accomplishment because there are so many factors that fall into play when your trying to get your website on page one of Google! Depending upon what the specific topic or "niche" is, coupled with how much competition there is in that specific niche, can be indicative of just where your site ranks in Google's search engines as well as to what page your site is listed on. Needless to say, it can be very frustrating when you put a lot of work into your site and it doesn't turn up anywhere when you perform a search. Unless you have mastered this art and have substantial backlink resources, you will find that in most instances your website or blog is nowhere to be found because your website or blog has no page rank status in the Google search engine...

No Page Rank?

So maybe your asking, what is page rank? And why does that matter to my website or blog? Page rank is a link analysis algorithm used by the Google internet search engine that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web, with the purpose of measuring its relative importance within the set. Essentially your website or blog is measured and rated by analyzing how many links point to your site, as well as the quality and relation of the links to the site. Generally a site will need substantial links pointing to it in order for Google to assign it a high page rank. Depending on the quality of the links -- whether they come from other sites with high or no page rank -- will factor in to how many links it takes before your site receives a higher page rank. Simply stated, if you don't have any page rank, chances are you will not get your web site on page one of Google.

Why Is Page One Of Google So Important?

Tell me this. When you perform a search on Google, how many results do you review before you've found what your looking for? Do you go strolling through, page after page? Is it not usually found in one of the first two or three search results that come up on THE FIRST PAGE? Exactly! Even if your website or blog advertises the exact content as others, if your not on top of the list on page one of Google your going to loose out on customers or business because your site has no page rank!
